Who are we?

Frekhaug Stål AS was established in 1955 and is located at Frekhaug, approx. 2 miles north of Bergen. The company has approx. 35 employees and turnover for approx. NOK. 50 mill. We melt and mold everything from ordinary stainless alloys to the super duplex. We are happy to participate in the whole process from idea to finished product.

What is our vision?

Our vision is to be a leader in quality, competitive in price and deliver on time. We can do this thanks to many years of experience in the industry, skilled employees and good quality control. Frekhaug Stål has many good long-term customer relationships, which should document delivery ability over time.

What are we dealing with?

We use pipes, plates, bolts and other starting material. To correct ourselves against the various international alloying standards, we also use basic materials such as Crom, Nickel, Molybdenum, Silicon, Manganese and Carbon. We mostly buy this from abroad.

Health, safety and environment (HSE)

At Frekhaug Stål we have the highest priority for Environment, Health and Safety. Taking care of our employees and creating a good working environment is a benefit for all parties, both within the company and for the customers. Many of our employees have worked in the company for many years, leading to high competence and experienced workers.

The company is a member of the HSE Group in Bergen. In cooperation, we carry out annual safety rounds / internal checks. Noise and dust measurements are performed regularly, as well as health checks for employees every two years. We have also invested millions in ventilation and fresh air systems and do what we can to create clean and pleasant premises.

We focus on the environment!

Frekhaug Stål wants to create the best conditions for both employees and the environment. In order to cast the various stainless-acid alloys, we rely on good supply of raw materials. We use scrap from the large mechanical workshops in Norway and are thus an important “Recycling plant” for steel scrap.

About half half of our sales are exports.
